These senators are the ones to vote against. They have been most activist in forcing guns onto campuses. In 2012, they voted to force Kansas college campuses to accommodate concealed carry. They sponsored the bill to get rid of licensing requirements and voted against exempting hospitals. They even voted to rescind universities’ exemption in 2016 (instead of 2017).

O’Donnell proposed an amendment to SB 65 that would rescind universities’ exemption in 2016.  These senators voted for it: Tom Arpke (R-Salina), Terry Bruce (R-Hutchinson), Steve Fitzgerald (R-Leavenworth), Forrest Knox (R-Altoona), Garrett Love (R-Montezuma), Julia Lynn (R-Olathe), Ty Masterson (R-Andover), Michael O’Donnell (R-Wichita), Robert Olson (R-Olathe), Mike Peterson (R-Wichita), Mary Pilcher-Cook (R-Shawnee), Larry Powell (R-Garden City), Dennis Pyle (R-Hiawatha). Fortunately, this measure was defeated.
